Montserrat
College of Art is a fully accredited, private, residential college of
art and design located in historic, coastal Beverly, thirty minutes
north of
Boston
. Founded in 1970 by a group of
artists intent on the individual needs of the art student,
Montserrat
today has an enrollment of nearly
400 students. An intensive studio environment and one-on-one instruction
from a faculty of accomplished artists, designers, and scholars draws
students from across the country. Exhibition spaces on campus include
the Montserrat Gallery, Cabot Studio Building Gallery, Schlosberg Alumni
Gallery, and the Lab which display a range of work from professional
artists, faculty, alumni, and students.
